Shrubs
What is a Shrub?
A shrub (aka 'bush') is a horticultural rather than a strict botanical category of woody plant, having several stems arising from the base and lacking a single trunk. A shrub also has a lower height, usually less than 5–6 m (15–20 ft) tall.
Subshrubs is a term often used for small, low shrubs like lavender or thyme. Shrubbery is an area specially used for shrubs.
Lower growing evergreens also can be classified as shrubs. Find more information about evergreens by using the link below.

What can a shrub mean for your garden?
Often considered by many to be the foundation plants of any garden, shrubs are a large and diverse range of plants.
Shrubs come in many sizes and varieties in shape, colors and blooms. Some keep their leaves all year round to others that lose the foliage in winter to reveal striking bark and stem colors. There is also a large range of garden shrubs available to fill the air with a delicate aroma.
Shrubs can define the apearance of your garden and make it a more pleasurable place to be. Even your garden doesn't have a lot of space, or you are restricted to a patio, you can enjoy shrubs in good-sized containers.
